[su_quote]Complete the Journey of the Dragon of Kamurocho The Yakuza Remastered Collection is far from a typical console generation port. In addition to graphical and performance upgrades (720p>1080p at 30>60fps), all three games have gone through a rigorous re-localization process. The English scripts for each game have been reviewed, revised, and even rewritten in some cases, and content previously cut from the Western releases of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have been re-added in The Yakuza Remastered Collection. This release marks the first time Yakuza 5 will be available in a physical format in the West, so the collection also includes a genuine Yakuza 5 PS3 case; after 5 years since the game’s original release, series collectors can finally fill the gap in their library![/su_quote]
If, like me, you only discovered the wonderful Yakuza games since the beginning of the PS4 era, you will no doubt want to be able to complete the Kiru saga from start to finish on your PS4. I wonder how many other Yakuza fans out there have played, completed, and loved Yakuza Zero, Yakuza and Yakuza Two, but have refused to start Yakuza Six: The Song of Life until they have played Yakuza Three, Four and Five?
You see, currently, the PS4 has only had Yakuza Zero, One, Two and Six released, with the middle of the gripping story missing, and unless you still owned a PS3 and Yakuza Three, Four and Five, you could not complete the whole story. Although Yakuza Three and Four are now available digitally on the PS4, Yakuza Five won’t be available until the 11th February 2020, which is the same date as the release of the physical version of the collection. Finally, old school gamers and collectors (like me) will finally be able to get their hands on the physical release of these games, too.
What has been most tempting for PS4 fans of the Yakuza series, is that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life has been getting critically acclaimed reviews, with such comments as, “a fitting end to the saga for Kiru.” All this has done is add fuel to the fire of wanting to start Yakuza Six, yet not doing so because you don’t want to spoil the overarching storyline. Would you read the last book of Game of Thrones before reading the intervening instalments?
Well, the wait is nearly over, and we at Total Gaming Addicts can’t wait to complete the epic Yakuza underworld saga.
