Planet9 University Invitational
This week, beginning Thursday, November 12th 2020, the Acer Predator Planet9 University Invitational will be staged, with eight universities from London, UK, duking it out in League of Legends for the grand prize of £2000, and the honour of being crowned the inaugural #P9UI champions.
The first of the group stage games will be held on the 12th November, with competing teams being coached by professional players, gaming influencers and streamers. Group stages will not be broadcast, but you can keep up to date with the results over at the official Planet9 Tournament page.
The finals of the tournament will begin at 2 pm on Saturday, 21st November, and will be broadcast live on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/HudL_gg).
There is a £2000 prize fund (provided in the form of Acer products), with third place receiving £250, runners up receiving £500, and the winners going home with £1000 worth of gaming gear of their choice.
It will be a great insight into how a dedicated community can improve your gaming, and maybe a chance to see potential future big names in gaming starting out.
