Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official GT World Challenge racing game, launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles this month
The hugely popular and well-regarded esports focussed racing sim, Assetto Corsa Competizione, published by 505 Games and developed by KUNOS Simulazioni, is launching for the new generation of consoles on Thursday 24th February 2022.
The updated versions will be available as free upgrades for existing PS4 and Xbox One ACC owners on 24th February 2022 or made available as a standalone purchase.
Upgrades for the new consoles include 4k60fps graphics and decreased loading times. We do expect support for the DualSense haptic controller to be integrated, as well as support for many of the most popular wheels and pedals that are compatible with the new consoles.
In comparison to some of its rivals, ACC arguably only has a small amount of content – 11 tracks and 25 cars from 14 manufacturers – but what it lacks in content it more than makes up for in competition. Assetto Corsa Competizione has a thriving esports community, with regular high-level and officially sanctioned events taking place on a regular basis. Robust skill-based matchmaking, a variety of game modes and dynamic weather have made ACC the gold standard in console racing sims.
