ROG set to collaborate with Alan Walker for gaming content and videos.
Live streaming is something of a recent phenomenon. Video-on-demand is nothing new, of course, with YouTube paving the way for gaming content creators to create multi-million pound empires. Now, with the advent of faster, more reliable internet and services like Twitch, streaming has exploded in popularity, with some of it’s most prominent stars making hundreds of thousands every month.
It’s reached such huge numbers that the user-base, both consumers and creators, have expanded beyond gaming. Heavyweights from the sports and entertainment world are extremely popular, while musicians are now also turning to streaming to promote their art. For consumers who often spend more time watching live streams than they do TV or other subscription services, they expect the best content available.
ASUS ROG has spotted a gap in the market that they are looking to fill. That is, devices tailored towards content creators of all kinds, not just those streaming games. To kick this focus into gear, ROG has created a custom machine for Alan Walker.
Alan Walker is an acclaimed music producer, and even if you don’t recognise the name, it’s highly likely you’ve heard some of his music. Notable tracks include On My Way featuring A$AP Rocky for PUBG Mobile, Ghost featuring Au/Ra from the Death Stranding: Timefall album, and the multi-award winning Faded that topped charts globally.
ROG, through their partnership, have created a special edition laptop designed to meet the requirements of a globetrotting superstar Dj. Starting with the all-new ROG Zephyrus G14 (very well-received and multi-award-winning in its own right), ROG have created a unique colourway and custom design elements. They have also created a custom lighting effect for the AniMe display combining custom text and animated art elements, that will be available for all Zephyrus G14 users later this year.
A series of YouTube shorts, music previews, and other content created by ROG and Alan Walker will launch later in 2020.
