Incoming, bright, colourful, striking, gorgeous Columbian inspired game!
Cris Tales is going to be one of those games that is going to go underneath the gaming radar (but not by us here at Total Gaming Addicts) as just another Indie JRPG. Pass up on this game at your peril, as Cris Tales is most certainly shaping up to be a future, “hidden gem.”
It may not have the big budget or big selling price point of its more esteemed brothers and sisters in the genre, but that certainly does not mean it’s not in the same class. With absolutely stunning 2D artwork, alongside an intriguing past/present/future storyline, that alone should pique the interest of any RPG fan.
However, add what you can see to what you can read, that being the game taking inspiration from such JRPG giants as Persona and Final Fantasy, then you really do need to sit up and take notice. Only those confident with their product would advertise their game as such, yet that is exactly what Modus have done on their own website:
