With Cris Tales and WitchSprings3 recently releasing to critical acclaim, it goes to show that the market for RPG, JRPG and Visual Novel games is alive and thriving!
The recipe is simple. Tried and trusted gameplay mechanics, interesting and gorgeous visuals, alongside a story that is both interesting and at times funny. Throw in a dash of something new, and you have a winning formula.
The next game to be added to this list could have been coming from a small Finnish team called Random Potion. They were trying to fund development of their game with a Kickstarter campaign, however, it failed to meet its goal. It is still listed on Steam, with a projected release date next year, but whether it will still be completed and published remains to be seen.
Early impressions showed clear as day visuals, mixed with a smattering of tongue in cheek humour that promises to break the 4th wall and make fun of the very genre it’s trying to enter. Combined with a designer who has a rich history of creating excellent combat mechanics, it’s certainly a game to keep an eye on.

Players will explore, talk to NPCs and solve tricky puzzles – each of the Chosen Sisters possess unique powers that players will utilize, as they progress through the game and its unique and quirky storyline.
