Nacon has entered into a licensing agreement with Activision to create a special edition themed REVOLUTION Unlimited Pro Controller for the next game in the iconic Call of Duty® franchise.
The Nacon Revolution Unlimited is a true competitive-grade controller for PS4, bearing many similarities to the Xbox Elite controller.
Asymmetric thumbsticks and larger hand-grips offer ergonomic comfort that is sure to appeal to fans of the Xbox controller layout. A set of four assignable switches on the rear of the handgrips offer advanced functionality, and the larger triggers and face buttons are designed for comfort and accessibility.
In addition, there are lots of customisable features, including; interchangeable thumbstick caps and shafts, 4 or 8 direction D-Pad, assignable shortcut buttons, additional weights and programmable gaming modes allowing you to adjust thumbstick sensitivity, deadzones, inversion settings and response curve, as well as button assignments.
The controller can be used in wired mode, with the included USB to USB-C cable, or wireless via Bluetooth with a 7m range. Battery life is a modest 7 hours from the integral 1300 mAh battery, but it should be enough for all but the most extreme gaming sessions.
The only negative I can see for this controller is that it is launching around the same time as the PS5. It can, of course, be used to play PS4 games on the PS5, but it is not compatible with actual PS5 games, which could be off-putting for anyone looking for a future-proofed purchase.
It is, however, compatible with PC, which makes it an attractive prospect for anyone who games on both PC and PS4 and may not be picking up the next-gen consoles for a while.
