December PlayStation News Roundup: New Horizon Forbidden West Trailer, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, New Hardware and more!
Horizon Forbidden West
With just a couple of months to go before the release date of the highly anticipated PS Exclusive, Horizon Forbidden West, Guerilla Games just dropped what could be argued as the best trailer for the game so far. The trailer highlights the upcoming new enemies that Aloy will have to face but also showcases lush, detailed and varied environments, all captured on PS5 – Check out the trailer below:
PS5 Console Covers (at last)
It has always seemed weird that Sony started so many lawsuits against custom cover manufacturers without bringing out their own, as the demand was clearly there. PlayStation has finally acquiesced to fans wants, though, and has revealed its range of official coloured PS5 console covers, as well as new DualSense controller colour options, as part of the “Galaxy” range. I think the Midnight Black styles look superb – See what you think from the video trailers below:
(I still think the PS5 looks like a document folder – Ed)
Entering Uncharted Territory
Sony recently released a new trailer for the remastered Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, and then promptly walked right into a shitstorm regarding the pricing and availability.
With so many permutations of different kinds of combinations of previous game purchases affecting how you might, or might not, be able to get this one, it’s best to check the official website to see where you might fit. Sony, once again, is confusing its fan base with unclear pricing, upgrade paths and what is widely perceived as overcharging. The phrase ‘money for old rope’ springs to mind.
Either way, gamers can experience two of the finest adventures Naugty Dog have ever created with updated and enhanced visuals, alongside 3D audio and adaptive trigger support. If you’ve never played these games before, this is worth the price of admission for any new fans. Get a taste of what is in store for you below:
Stunning Samurai Swordplay
And finally, many new trailers arrived over the past week, but one, in particular, caught our eye here at Total Gaming Addicts. If you hadn’t already had enough glorious Samurai sword-slashing fun in Ghost of Tsushima, then prepare yourself for more – Trek to Yomi may be played from a 2D perspective, but visually it is equally as striking:
“As a vow to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki is sworn to protect his town and the people he loves against all threats. Faced with tragedy and bound to duty, the lone samurai must voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.”
