Totally Reliable Delivery Service releases today on six major platforms, Xbox Game Pass and free on Epic Game Store.
This is tinyBuild’s first-ever six platform simultaneous release, with iOS, Android, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC versions all releasing today.
From now until the 8th of April, PC gamers can download the game to keep forever from the Epic Games Store, whilst Xbox Game Pass subscribers also have access to the game, too.
[su_quote cite=”Alex Nichiporchik, CEO @tinyBuild”]I believe in this time it’s important to provide accessible family-friendly entertainment. We’ve seen at conventions and during playtests how Totally Reliable creates this great experience for gamers across generations. Seeing parents play together with their 2 kids always makes me smile. At the same time, the game provides exceptional emergent gameplay opportunities for friends playing online, as evidenced by the hundreds of YouTubers who already made videos. This is why it was extremely important to bring Totally Reliable Delivery Service to as many platforms on launch as possible (six on launch day!), and Epic Games were amazing to support the idea of launching it for free to keep on launch to give it a huge audience. If you’re not familiar with Totally Reliable Delivery Service, it looks and plays in a similar fashion to Human Fall Flat, and shares the same over-the-top physics modelling. We had an early hands-on with the game and it is great fun. Set in a large sandbox world, filled with a variety of vehicles you can crash, tip over, veer into objects, and eventually use to hopefully deliver your packages intact to their destination, you have to carry out deliveries against a timer. It’s way more challenging to get the Gold medals than you would expect, due to the bumbling, drunken-like staggering of your bottom-heavy characters.
It’s funny by yourself, but hilarious when you get together with a few friends. Online and local (split-screen) multiplayer for four players is included, and it’s a great game to play with younger children.
Whether there will be enough depth to keep you coming back remains to be seen, but as a pick-up and play blast of fun, it’s well worth a look. It’s one of the few games where not having a clue what you are doing genuinely makes it more entertaining.
Totally Reliable Delivery Service is out now for iOS, Android, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC on the Epic Games Store.
