Party chat to introduce individual volume controls for party members.

Do you have that one friend who is just too loud? Or friends from another continent who are booming down the mic because it’s daytime there, while you and your local friends are trying not to wake the family on a late night marathon?
Xbox is introducing a new feature that will have you covered!
Gamers on the Alpha preview build (as part of the Xbox Insider programme) are currently testing out the feature, that allows you to raise or lower the individual volume levels for each person in your party. It’s a big improvement on the current options, which are; mute them, kick them from the party or just deal with it.
If you want to try out this feature ahead of its release to the general populous, you’ll need to be signed up as an Xbox Insider and have access to the Alpha skip-ahead ring. Be warned, though, that these Alpha builds are notoriously unstable and often filled with other bugs that might affect other features you rely on (of course, that’s the point of it). If you aren’t prepared to take that risk, these features, if they are stable and useful enough, usually make it to general release in a matter of months.
