Campfire Audio’s Orbit are its first true-wireless audiophile earbuds
Campfire Audio is known for its distinctive and creative styling, and more importantly, stunning audio quality. Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Campfire is another sterling example of how our friends over in the States are becoming global leaders when it comes to high-end audio.
These are superb-looking buds, with carefully shaped two-tone housing designed both for comfort and style. Intuitive touch controls are mounted on the buds, and a high-quality microphone is also integrated for your essential voice comms.
The Orbit earbuds are powered by 10mm full-range dynamic drivers, with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) film diaphragm, designed to deliver depth and power to the lower frequencies, without compromising on clarity. For connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2 should provide ample range, and AAC and AptX codecs are supported, handling up to 24bit/48KHz audio.
For customisation, there is a convenient app that allows you to program the touch controls to your preferences, and you can also adjust the sound profile with a seven-band EQ or choose from the Campfire Audio presets.
Orbit comes with a gorgeous two-tone case, contrasted by a bold but tasteful green interior. A battery level indicator is integrated inside the case, so you can see how much charge you have left – the earbuds themselves have a playtime of 8.5 hours, and the case can provide up to 30 additional hours, so you won’t be constantly reaching for your charger. Both USB-C and Qi charging are supported.
Finally, Campfire Audio has included a selection of foam and silicone ear tips (S, M, L), so they should fit the majority of users comfortably. In the box is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, the user manual and an exclusive Campfire Audio pin badge.
