Nacon have announced four new controllers designed for the Xbox ecosystem.
The first two controllers have been created for cloud gaming on smartphones, while the second pair are customisable controllers compatible with Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.
The MG-X Series
Designed for use with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass cloud-gaming service, NACON’s MG-X series feature integrated stands, and they will accommodate smartphones up to 6.7″.
Bluetooth 4.2 wirelessly connects the controller to your phone, and the included rechargeable battery provides an excellent 20 hours of gaming.
MG-X
The compact-sized MG-X is the more discreet and portable option, and it looks ideal for gaming on the go. Razer makes a similar smartphone controller, but at £99.99, it’s an expensive option. If NACON can make this a high-quality controller and still price it competitively, they could be onto a winner here.
MG-X Pro
The MG-X Pro is not as pocket friendly as the MG-X, but it gives you full-size controller functionality, including full-travel triggers. If you want to enjoy a few races on Forza Horizon 4 or the recently added Forza Motorsport 7, you’re going to need the full control afforded by a proper controller.
Looking like a regular controller split down the centreline, the MG-X Pro is a solid alternative to the clamps that mount onto regular controllers. Again, there is a potentially huge market for these controllers, and if NACON can find the perfect balance between price and performance, I can see this being a huge-seller this holiday season.
Revolution X and Pro Compact
These are NACON’s console and Windows 10 compatible controllers, featuring all of the regular Xbox controller features, but expanding on them with increased customisation options.
Revolution X
NACON has been making its fantastic Revolution range for some time, but until now, they’ve primarily been created for PlayStation and PC. Now, fans of Team Green have their first Designed for Xbox models, too.
Much like the Xbox Elite series of controllers, the NACON Revolution X comes with many desirable features. Interchangeable thumb-sticks, rear-facing buttons, additional weights and a carry case are all included, which should meet the needs of the most demanding gamers.
Revolution Pro Compact
The Pro Compact shares all the features of the Xbox Wireless Controller (including the new share button) in a much more compact frame and expands on this with deeper customisation through NACON’s dedicated app.
Programmable buttons and adjustable stick and trigger sensitivity can be adjusted within the app, giving you Pro levels of control over your pads responsiveness.
The MG-X Series designed for cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and the Revolution X and Pro Compact controllers designed for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, will be available in early 2021.
