Most people don’t know this but you can actually add 32 people to an Xbox Live party.
Since launch this feature has been available but originally it was limited to just 8 people being able to talk.
A recent update increased that to 12 people and we hope for this to increase further in the future.
But for those that do not know, here is how you start a Xbox Live party for you and 31 mates.
There are several ways to start a party.
Invite a person from your Friends list
- To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button, or say “Xbox, go home“.
- Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
- Under Friends, select the friend you want to party with.
- Select Send party invite, or press the X button on the controller to invite them.
Now you can see your party in the guide.
Join a party that your friends are already in
- To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button, or say “Xbox, go home“.
- Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
- Under Friends, select the friend you want to party with.
- On that friend’s gamercard, select Join party.
Start your own party and invite multiple friends
- To return to the Home screen, press the Xbox button, or say “Xbox, go home“.
- Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
- Under Party, select Start a party.
- Select Invite more.
- From the Friends list, select all those you’d like to join your party.
- Finally, select Invite to party, or press the Menu button on the controller.
