The Surge 2, the follow-up to the hardcore sci-fi action-RPG The Surge will be available worldwide from September 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Taking influence from games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls, with an added dystopian-future sci-fi twist, this should appeal to fans of the original game as well as those who don’t mind brutal difficulty and enjoy that genre of game.
As is the norm these days, pre-ordering from selected retailers will get you an in-game gear pack, which includes an armor set, two weapons, one drone, one module, and a bonus online message icon. While they are unlikely to be items you will still be using by the time you reach the end game, it’s still nice to get presents!
Also available in select retail stores will be The Surge 2 Limited Edition, including an exclusive lenticular cover, an 8-page comic book, a massive double-side poster and three lithographs. As far as collectors editions go this is pretty decent, although the price will determine how much value you really get out of it.
