Get away from her you $!t@h Well that’s the first thing I thought of when Zen announced the Aliens collection for Pinball FX 2.

It’s no big secret I enjoy the tables and Zen have kept me coming back each and every time with blockbuster hits and comic tv shows mingled with their own intuitive tables.

Well ripley is back now and you can visit:

Aliens

AVP

Alien Isolation

Key Game Features

  • Join Ellen Ripley as she confronts her nightmares and help the Colonial Marines rid LV-426 of its Alien infestation in Aliens Pinball
  • Watch out for the merciless Alien stalking you on the Alien: Isolation pinball table
  • Defeat Xenomorphs and rise in Yautja society on the Alien vs. Predator table
  • Original iconic voiceovers and sound effects from films and videogames set in the ALIENS Universe
  • Leaderboards, score tracking, exciting social features, and more

Classic Aliens and amazing sound effects, it’s eery playing on the first table, and as a huge Aliens fan hearing all the authentic voices and extremely well placed snippets made the game really enjoyable.

A nice touch was being able to play the missions according to the film and not random sections, it really brought the film to the table.

That coupled with a huge Xenomorphix and Ripley with the classic flame thrower just gave me goose bumps.

Lots of challenges appeared easy enough and the voice snippets just tied in really well, perhaps the best integration from film to table I have played so far. I can’t fault this table

Onto the next one

Aliens vs Predator, oooooooh even before the table loaded the predators distinctive sound played and I was already excited. A huge temple, predator on the left, Alien to the right here I am, stuck in the middle of it all.

Not my favourite film but some cool features on this table, one of my favourite was the Predator view mode, targets clearly lit up and the ball glowing bright orange, made it fun and easy to see and then when I got the vertigo mode and the table flipped upside down, wooooah.

Very cool and whilst it might not have the epic quotes that Aliens has the table made up for it in frequent features.

To Isolation……

And I’m afraid the table was nearly as bad as the game. No only kidding, it’s okay but as any Alien fan will tell you the best one is Aliens and unfortunately you just cannot compete with the classics.

It’s a nice table, easy to navigate and earn bonus points but to be honest it’s all about Aliens isn’t it really. It’s game over man for this table.

SUMMARY

I’m a huge Pinball fan and a huge Aliens fan so much so I am off now to watch one, and the Aliens and the AvP table are great fun, and feel really interactive with the film. Sounds and film snippets gave me chills at times. Once again Zen hit the ball out of the park, it’s just a shame there was Isolation as well.
