The first Dynasty Warriors experience for the newest generation of consoles is nearly upon us.
The ubiquitous and long-running Dynasty Warriors series about the romancing of the three kingdoms is shortly to arrive for gamers. However, it features a new and interesting direction for the series, in the form of castle sieges that are now the focus of the battleground.
Playing as one of 94 Musou characters, or one of the 700 officers, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires will still feature the alliances and political aspects alongside its hugely entertaining and widely praised hack and slash gameplay, but instead of open battlefields, each section of combat will revolve around capturing castles and strongholds. This can be done in various ways, from using siege weapons to infiltration, leading to a final and dramatic showdown within the walls.
Together with this new aspect will be a deeply customisable character creation system, allowing players to create their own heroes and experience their own unique destiny.
If you can’t wait to try your hand and see what the game has in store for players, a demo version of the game is currently free to download on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
